Overview

Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Senior Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (part-time) to work in Harrow. This position is initially for a period of 8 weeks and will be paying £20.93 via an umbrella company. The role: The service is based in Harrow with co-locations across the borough. Working closely with key stakeholders such as the Police, local authority, social services and community groups, the aims of the service is to provide an integrated domestic abuse response to survivors of abuse to reduce risk and facilitate a life free from abuse. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the proactive running and day to day supervision of the service ensuring that women and children and men receive the relevant support and that all health and safety matters are fully addressed. Manage high profile/intensive case work. In addition, the Senior IDVA will screen and allocate all non-crime referrals to the BAMER worker and Safety Planner. To ensure that Safe Lives DASH Risk assessment, Individual Safety & Support Plan, Severity of Abuse Grid are in place and reviewed 6 weekly to support the client. Help with access to legal advice, housing needs, tenancy support, support of children and access to learning or employment . Ensure that identified support targets have been met in conjunction with other agencies delivering care and support services to clients and ensure outcome focused support planning. Ensure a seamless service delivery by working closely with other support providers to have a joined up approach to addressing support needs incl. GPs, health visitors, schools, counselling services, housing, the Police and any other agencies. Applicant Requirements: Qualifications: N/A. Experience: 2 years working within a similar role. Compliance: Current DBS. Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently. Hours: 3 days per week.
