Overview
Full time Ward Host / Patient Catering Assistant Full time Ward Host / Patient Catering Assistant at a large facilities, based in Headington. Starting from 11.30am -8pm on a rota basis working any 5 days out of 7. Your role will be to provide high quality food and beverage service to the patients, whilst complying with hygiene and Health and Safety Regulations and Procedures. Your duties will include: Assisting in the preparation of cold and cooked food to meet meal service deadlines, liaising with ward staff to ensure an effective and appropriate meal service. Monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures in accordance with department policy and procedure, and taking corrective action where necessary. Reporting and taking action on any breakdowns, or damage to equipment, or the fabric of the building to the Management Team. This should include accidents, fire, loss, damage, theft, unfit food or any other irregularities Ensuring drinks trolley is kept fully stocked and clean at all times Cleaning the ward kitchen during and after service, following the kitchen Cleaning Schedule Ensuring all areas under your control are left as clean and tidy as is reasonably practicable at all times, especially at the end of each shift. Maintaining the highest possible standards of performance, hygiene and presentation This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
