Overview

Our client works with all types of businesses from sole traders to large national corporations. As a mid-tier chartered accountants, they have grown significantly organically by a consultative approach. They offer a wide range of Business solutions, across Accounting, Audit, Tax, Payroll, Corporate Finance, and Restructuring & Insolvency. With the growth over the last few years and as such we now require a Credit Controller to join the business to manage debt collection for our clients. You will be working closely with the rest of the accounts team to manage a number of clients in the collection of money whilst retaining relationships. Requirements Credit Control: Overseeing the collection of client accounts by creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of client retention Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated by the Directors Aged debt reporting with responsibility of reducing debtor days Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed by the Directors and Management team Liaising with clients and internal colleagues to ensure accurate month end reporting to the Directors Put accounts on stop as & when required Sales Ledger: Act as the main contact for the company`s sales ledger accounts Reconciliation of sales ledger control Manage and resolve any key sales invoice queries Posting bank receipts to allocated accounts Sales invoice query resolution with clients, colleagues and provide duplicate invoices when required Experience of working within a Credit Control sales ledger position Excellent excel skills, including VLook Ups and pivot tables Strong communication skills & confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders Ability to build relationships and negotiate payment plans with problematic accounts Hard working and positive attitude Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work alone, dependable and a self-starter A minimum of 3 years Credit Control experience An eye for detail with accurate data input skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience of and the ability to deal with difficult customers Knowledge of accounting software alongside a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SAGE and CCH (Ideally) A team player Benefits The Benefits: Our clients deserve the best, the same goes for our people.
