Overview
Job Title: Credit Controller Department: Finance Hours 9.00am - 5.30pm with one hour (unpaid) for lunch Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week) Reporting to: The Directors Job Purpose: Good credit management is essential to the business’s healthy cash flow, and the Credit Controller is responsible for managing debtor accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices. Main Duties: Credit Control: Overseeing the collection of client accounts by creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of client retention Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated by the Directors Aged debt reporting with the responsibility of reducing debtor days Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed by the Directors and Management team Liaising with clients and internal colleagues to ensure accurate month-end reporting to the Directors Put accounts on stop as & when required Sales Ledger: Act as the main contact for the company`s sales ledger accounts Reconciliation of sales ledger control Manage and resolve any key sales invoice queries Posting bank receipts to allocated accounts Sales invoice query resolution with clients, colleagues and provide duplicate invoices when required Person Specification: Experience of working within a Credit Control sales ledger position Excellent excel skills, including VLook Ups and pivot tables Strong communication skills & confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders Ability to build relationships and negotiate payment plans with problematic accounts Hard-working and a positive attitude Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work alone, dependable and a self-starter Salary & Benefits Carparking: Free on-site car parking Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays plus extra day for Christmas Eve, increases after 5 years’ service by 1 day per full year worked, up to a maximum of 5 additional days.
