Overview

IT Service Desk / 1st Line IT Support Engineer - Senior. Based in Liverpool, Merseyside, my client has a new requirement for an IT Service Desk / 1st Line IT Support Engineer. I am looking for someone with the technical ability to resolve calls rather than pass them on, with around 4 to 5 years in a similar role but would like a more senior role within a small team (to be the focal point/mentor/go to person) and eventually become a manager over time. You must have technical experience of: Active Directory Exchange Server DNS Print Servers Office 365 Printers Any skills in telephony, Netgear switches, Firewalls, RDS Windows 2016, Windows Server 2019, Linux and MS SQL would be a bonus. Role involves: Be the focal point and 1st line for all of IS/IT/communication requirements & issues. 1st line support, answer calls and respond to e-mail. Assist with the upgrading & implementation of all applications and hardware systems. Perform user joiner / leaver instructions. Take ownership of user incidents, tracking incidents and following incidents / request through to completion. Ensure the Service Desk maintains high level of service and cover, during business hours, weekends and Bank Holidays. Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and produce KPI’s for the team. Ensure that and early/late and weekend rota is covered and provided for the business operations, including bank holidays. The role does have a slight shift pattern on a 7 hour day covering the working hours of 8.00 to 16.00, 9.00 to 17.00, 10.00 to 18.00 and some out of hours weekend work on a rota systems that can be covered from home.
