Software Engineer in Test | Single Page Apps | Micro service | Agile | Automation | DevOps | Wiltshire | £50,000 - £58,000 | 20% Bonus Method Resourcing has recently partnered with one of the largest energy trading businesses in Europe. They're looking for a hands on technical QA Engineer / SDET who's responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing. Our client has a tonne of existing automation frameworks, they're looking for someone who can review existing tools and frameworks and if necessary introduce new tools, frameworks and own all things automation. The successful Software Engineer in Test will have the following experience: A tester firsts mind-set with hands on coding experience Commercial automation experience, current frameworks include UFT and Selenium Webdriver, Specflow Considers software testing as a craft and considers another way of testing but not the sole purpose of a tester Performs exploratory and heuristic testing Encourages code reviews, refinement sessions, 3 Amigo's, Pairing with developers, adopting the testing pyramid. Experience of TDD and BDD Understanding of Single Page Web Applications (Angular) and Microservices (C# .NET Core) Knowledge of Cloud Services (AWS) Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps Curious by nature, creative in your approach to testing and considers yourself a coach Encourages Shift left test approach Whilst we've listed a lot of requirements, if you're a strong coder, love to test, has commercial experience in automation, and has a pragmatic approach to learning, we'd love to hear from you.
