Role: Head of Health & Safety Salary: circa £70K Location: Nationwide The Client My client is a leading healthcare provider of residential, nursing and dementia care and is committed to providing the very highest standards of care to their residents. The Role Develop and ensure robust health & safety policies, systems and practices are in place to enable full compliance Provide specialist health and safety knowledge and advice, keeping up to date with the external health and safety environment Act as a visible leader for health and safety excellence and encourage innovation. Engage with corporate and operational leaders to encourage the integration of risk management into standard business processes Effectively communicate with operations teams to provide updates and reports on any areas of risk Oversee the design and delivery of mandatory health & safety training, working closely with the Central Training Team Requirements Degree, MSc or postgraduate diploma recognised by IOSH, NEBOSHetc MSc in Occupational Safety & Health preferred Chartered membership of IOSH A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a health & safety professional within the health and social care sector. Experience of developing and delivering a health & safety strategy Experience in accident investigation, conducting root cause analysis and completing subsequent reports and recommendations Confident in communicating and advising at Board level and with external enforcement bodies.
