Overview
In response to the unprecedented events we are currently experiencing due to the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, at this time we will be conducting our interviews via telephone or video calls. FULL TIME SUPPORT WORKERS –Gilbert Lodge Heathcotes Taylor vieware currently seeking full time support workers for our 5 bed care home in Taylor view Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Heathcotes Taylor view specialist residential service for adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and challenging behaviours. This will be supporting with personal care, finances, accessing the community, preparing meals, and house hold chores. Heathcotes Taylor viewhas Five ensuite bedrooms and provides twenty four hour support. The Role of a Support Worker: Encourage individuals to live a life that makes sense to them. Provide care and support as identified in care plans, as directed by senior staff members. To promote independence, life skills and informed choices in accordance with the individuals care plan and to enhance inclusion in the community. To provide personal care where required which may involve supporting with; continence needs; health and medication needs; handling personal possessions; finances and documents; shopping. To promote dignity and facilitate to ensure personal care provision is in a safe and appropriate environment, where directed through the care plan. To ensure effective communication and relationships with the service users and to be aware of the communication differences and adopt an approach that minimises the effect of such differences in accordance with their care plan. To manage behaviours adhering to strategies and procedures set out within individuals care plan and in accordance with relevant legislation. Requirements: A compassionate and friendly can-do attitude. A willingness to work some evenings, weekends & bank holidays. Drivers preferred but not essential. Shift Pattern: 8am - 8pm shifts will be in the following pattern on a rolling rota following the 12 hour shifts, you will have every other weekend off. Week 1 – Mon, Tues, Sat Sun Week 2 – Wed, Thurs Fri What we offer in return: Pay rate is between £8.20-£8.90 per hour dependant on qualifications/experience. Paid holidays & Paid enhanced DBS check.
