Overview
Site Manager - Recycling / Waste - Ideally have WAMITAB / NEBOSH - £38k - £41k & additional benefits - Devon Overview: Recycling. We all know about it and all the good it does for the environment, wildlife and our self-pride. It makes us all feel like heroes, that we're doing "our bit". But we need these sites running efficiently, and that is where you come in… On that basis, in a newly created role we are looking for a site manager to come in to an established yet evolving recycling facility based in central Devon. As this is newly created, it gives you the chance to really make this role your own, use your expertise to really shape the facility and workforce and see results in a UK leader. The person: We are open to the person here, as it's a newly created role so you are not "replacing" anyone, but making the role your own. You must have managed a facility / yard within recycling or waste and implemented change, with a proven track record but it's more the personality we are looking for to drive a hugely successful site to even better. Health & Safety tend to be pretty important on these sites, so NEBOSH, IOSH or WAMITAB (especially) would be seen as hugely beneficial. The Role: This is an all-encompassing role where you will be the manager of a 24/7 site (role is working days) and a mixture of permanent staff and agency staff. We are looking for a professional who has a record if implementing change and gaining tangible results. The recycling processes here are relatively fast and skilled so whilst we don't want you to understand all the processes expertly, a recycling & waste background is pretty important. As are skills to communicate with local authorities. The company: This is working for a UK leading organisation who are looking to grow in the coming months and years.
