Job Contact:Matt Reynolds Job Reference: WM - 1196 Job Start date:ASAP Commutable from:Telford Job Type:Permanent Salary:Up to £21,500 Benefits:To be discussed at interview Build Technician : Willcox Matthews are currently representing one of our clients in their search for a Build Technician who can polish and assemble aluminum moulds. The Role & Responsibilities : mould preparation skills, for example: de-burring mold halves and ejector plates drilling and tapping holes grinding sprue pullers cutting guide pins cutting ejector pins drilling tunnel and post gates contouring ejector pins fly-cutting backs of molds (typically B-side) venting ejector pins adding parting line vents making Z pullers and keys fitting and assembling cams installing repair plugs calibrating pin cutter manually adding support pillars adding stationary B-side pins adding ejector pins, add A-side vent pins Adding steel core pins. Mould assembly Mould polishing Understand and work from intranet designs Ensure tools are finished as per Intranet instructions Report any process and/or equipment issues to the Build Team Leader Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department Maintain clean and organised work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilisation Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures Perform additional tasks as assigned Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Proven mechanical aptitude. Experience with measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages) Experience with power tools used in a metalworking shop (drill press experience a plus) Able to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, pliers Physical job requirements including reaching, bending, and grasping. Good finger dexterity, able to do close work, have good vision. Able to read and write in English and do basic arithmetic. Must be computer literate. Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. Must be punctual and have good attendance. Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads. Good written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
