Role Overview We are seeking a Procurement Analyst to join our Central Procurement team in our Chippenham Head Office. The successful candidate will provide reporting, process and analytical support to the department, driving the strategy for accurate and meaningful spend and compliance reporting across the Wincanton Group. Supporting with RFI/RFQ construction and analysis, optimising the financial benefits for the business as a whole. Supporting with identifying key expenditure areas, evaluating market place conditions and carrying out supplier assessments. Gathering, collating and analysing internal and external data producing reports and graphs, providing information to support colleagues. Developing and producing the Spend and Compliance reporting throughout the Company. Complete market research in the form of reviewing internal and external information, analysing information and producing reports Monitoring KPI's and Supply Level Agreements Striving to improve supplier performance through internal feedback and a close working relationship with suppliers and internal customers. Managing relations with the Business, Finance, Suppliers and IT to engage usage of compliance reporting through open discussion and identification and communication of savings opportunities. Provide help and guidance on analytical information required, other processes and procedures, commodity information and tender support. Liaise with all Managers in the Group Procurement department to identify what work is currently in progress and due in the future to ensure knowledge remains up to date. Research, evaluate and advise Category Managers/Buyers of existing and potential commodity information to assist in the decision-making procedures in category reviews. Provide analytical information to confirm potential savings (financial and non-financial) available Further develop and maintain the Spend Analytical tools, supplier database, commodity database, intranet and supplierzone to provide up-to-date and accurate information What will you bring? Demonstrable experience of detail analysis and reporting through use of Microsft Excel Experience of using Microsoft Access or other databases and analytical tools.Be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel Previous experience gained in a corporate environment ideally within a financial or procurement analysis role Ability to manipulate vast amounts of data into meaningful reports and analysis Excellent communication skills - able to listen to the requirement and convert into a strong portfolio of analysis Hold the ability to build, influence and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders An understanding of procurement processes or analysing procurement data (suppliers, spend, opportunities, non financial supply data, markets, commodities) would be advantageous What do we offer?
