Overview
Acorn Finance is in search for an Internal Auditor to join a large corporate client on the outskirts of Cardiff. Reporting into the Head of Internal Audit, you'll be responsible for executing internal audits across all areas of the business including the thorough assessment of all controls and processes. This is a great opportunity for any accountants currently working in practice that might wish to make their first step into industry. The role boasts a competitive salary between £40,000 - £50,000 along with a competitive benefits package Key Responsibilities: Complete internal audits across the group in an effective manner Support the wider internal audit team in promoting effective risk management with input into operational and strategic risk activity Provide support in managing junior members of the internal audit team Deliver data analytics and compliance reporting to ensure that all regulatory reporting deadlines are met in a timely manner Assist with the preparation of audit plans, audit and risk papers for reporting to the board, audit committee and group shareholders Appropriate monitoring and assessment of business actions to close out agreed audit recommendations regarding control deficiencies Act as a business partner to the wider organisation to enhance the risk aware culture What we're looking for: Preferably a qualified accountant or chartered internal auditor (CIA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA) Strong knowledge of audit, risk and governance Prior experience of internal or external audit Confidently numerate with the ability to manage, share and monitor large amounts of data Good commercial awareness with the ability to drive business improvements
