Overview

Cosmic Ears produce handmade custom earphones for bands and musicians around the world, with a constantly increasing number of famous and professional clients. Our earphones are made using ear impressions from our client’s ears, creating a perfect fit. This perfect fit combined with top quality components delivers a supreme sound which we are incredibly proud of. The product is available online and sold globally. There is now an opportunity for a candidate who is keen to develop their experience within a fast paced office/lab environment. We are looking for a technician who will provide support to the company production team, within a laboratory environment. The role is ideally suited to someone with an eye for detail and creativity. Key Responsibilities: Evaluation and quality checks of customer ear impressions. Detailing and shaping of ear impressions. Manufacture of earphone shells, using lab tools, UV acrylics, adhesives and paints. Shaping and polishing of earphone shells. Quality testing of earphones and components. Use of laser engravers/printer for graphics and creative artwork. Repair/modify custom earphones. Essential Skills and Experience: Good attention to detail to maintain high product quality. Excellent manual dexterity. Willingness to learn about new materials and manufacturing techniques. Excellent time management skills and ability to work to deadlines. Flexibility is necessary, in order to work on more than one task at once. Ability to work well within a team. Ideal Skills and Experience: Familiar with laboratory procedures and use of equipment. Knowledge of UV Acrylic material production techniques. Familiarity with 3D printing (SLA). What are the benefits of working for Cosmic Ears?
