Overview
Your new company Based on the outskirts of Glasgow, our client is recruiting for a permanent Accounts Payable Assistant on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. The role can be accessed by public transport and there is also on-site parking. The organisation is ideally looking for the successful candidate to begin with them as soon as possible. Your new role Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will work alongside 2 other finance assistants. You will take ownership of all accounts payable tasks and your duties will involve but will not be limited to; high volume invoicing, matching, batching and coding of invoices, setting up new suppliers on the internal system, handling supplier queries, managing payment runs and general associated accounts payable administration. You will also support the other finance assistants with sales ledger and credit control responsibilities at busy periods. What you'll need to succeed Experience working within accounts payable is essential. You should be comfortable managing a high-volume workload and working in a fast-paced environment. You should be an organised individual with excellent attention to detail. You should have professional communication skills both verbal and written as you will liaise with clients and suppliers on a daily basis.
