Page Personnel are delighted to be partnered with our client in recruiting an Accounts Payable Assistant. This role will have responsibilities processing purchase invoices and supplier payments in a timely manner whilst working with a growing department. Client Details Our client is a market leading business that have created a growing Accounts Payable department that is based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. This business have an innovative approach to an exciting industry Description The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities: Processing invoices and related payment runs in line with agreed timescales and with appropriate approvals Analyse supplier statements and reconcile payable ledger Work closely with the Bank and Accounting teams to ensure accurate bank reconciliations and accruals Setup of new vendor accounts Enhance and maintain process documentation, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and internal controls Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, initiating ideas to develop AP processes and controls. Analysis of AP KPI's & metrics as required by clients and company management Dealing with client and supplier queries Effectively manage workload across portfolio's Minimise risk across portfolio by Investigating all Final Demands and Informing Management of issues Dealing with internal/external customer queries Supplier Maintenance updating multi-systems within the Accounts Payable Department Promote and develop relationships with key contacts throughout the business Manage queries to resolution through investigation, reconciliation and escalation Ensure all supplier information is up to date and accurate Maintain mailboxes and ensure all documentation is filed correctly Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure excellent service Profile The successful client will likely have the following profile: Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Organising and prioritising work to meet reporting deadlines Strong IT skills Knowledge of Navision or other ERP systems highly desirable Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook). Previous knowledge of working on multiple platforms Good understanding of Account Payable procedures and techniques Job Offer This role offers a competitive salary between £20,000-£22,000 plus benefits.
