Overview

Reporting to: Technical Department Supervisor Responsibilities and Duties Prepare documentation and administration duties on new/renewal Binding Authorities and endorsements Provide checks on documentation and directly support the placing brokers within Lloyd’s and Company market; review broking presentations for new and renewal business (includes liaising with clients in order to obtain the relevant information if needed) and slip endorsements as required Provide technical support to quotation activities such as preparation of Cover and Debit Notes, registration of Binding Authorities, liaison with X-Changing and other Lloyd’s and Company offices and bureaux, preparation, arrangement and checking of signing slips (including existing, new business, renewals and policy adjustments), proposal forms and full policy schedules, wordings and endorsements Understand the processing of documentation including use of BAR, ATLAS, CRYSTAL, Da-Sats, PPL, RiskServe (or similar London Market Broking application) Liaise with clients and underwriters and deal with resulting queries by usual means Upload and import bordereaux on the systems Liaise with accounts department regarding payment of premium to market and bureau and assist them with any queries and in addition dealing with premium signing queries from the bureau or underwriters Organise and maintain an efficient archiving system Prepare triangulations on a monthly basis Produce data and production analysis Provide technical support for compliance and regulatory issues Process claims bordereau and claims collection in a timely fashion Prepare and arrange claims presentations to Underwriters and present claims face to face when required Review and provide claims history, loss information, major claims analysis and figures to other divisions, underwriters and clients Knowledge and Experience Knowledge of the practices and processes of the Lloyd’s and Company market Experience and understanding of the insurance classes of business in which the post holder is to specialise Knowledge of the legal principles governing insurances Knowledge of the FSA regulatory framework governing insurance brokers Knowledge of the systems as BAR, ATLAS, CRYSTAL, Da-Sats, PPL, ECF/CLASS System Knowledge of and fluency in personal computer operating systems/application software (e.g. Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook).
