(Disclaimer: you’ll have to work with people, too) The Job As a Vehicle Inspector, you’ll be doing what it says on the tin - carrying out accurate, efficient inspections on end of lease vehicles as per contract standards and BVRLA fair wear and tear policy. You’ll input all the data of your inspection (e.g. damage and images) into a tablet, as your detailed reports are used in the vehicle auction process and by customers - so it’s pretty important these are accurate and in line with predefined processes, procedures, and quality standards. Customers might ask you questions about your inspections, you’ll need to be on the ball and demonstrate your expertise to the customer. I mean, you wouldn’t buy a poorly inspected car, would you? It’s a true team effort at a busy auction site like this. You and the yard team will work together to ensure inspected vehicles are processed and moved, keeping the flow of vehicles moving effectively through site. What you’ll need Experience is a must for this one; whether that’s in Vehicle Inspections directly, or Mechanical/Technician work, we don’t mind which - we need your skill-set, knowledge and experience. Given the nature of the job, you will need a full UK driving licence (6 points max.) and be confident driving a wide range of vehicles (electric, manual, automatic, commercial). What next?
