The Role for Heavy / HGV Vehicle Technicians is 36.5 hours per week Full time Monday to Friday. Typical shift will be from 10pm - 6am This is a permanent contract We are looking for professional Heavy / HGV Vehicle Technician to perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on all types of vehicle, trailers and mechanical equipment and plant operated by the client. Successful candidates must be fully qualified to at least advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification) and have proven (via CV) experience of working on the types of vehicles and trailers that you would expect to have, for example LGV. We also require you to have a full driving licence (LGV preferred). A successful applicant will be expected to work as part of an effective team. Salary & Benefits for Heavy Vehicle Technicians With a basic salary of £28,534, fleet allowance of £618 per annum and a shift allowance of £110.55 per week, you can expect to earn £37,000 also expect the following benefits; Four weeks annual leave on entry with options to purchase more. A 36.5 hour working week. Technicians can also expect Shift Payments made in addition to the basic salary as well as Overtime and Scheduled Attendance in addition to basic salary. About the Role As a vehicle technician, you'll perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on all types of vehicles in our Client's fleet - one of Europe's largest. You'll work on smaller vans right up to HGVs and mechanical equipment - with tools and PPE supplied by the Client. You'll receive extensive training and full induction to ensure you have the skills to carry out the job. About You You must be qualified to IMI Level 3 or equivalent (L3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) A team player who takes real pride in their work, you'll be prepared to go the extra mile to ensure the job is done effectively. You'll be qualified to IMI Level 3 or equivalent in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance and repair with a full driving licence (LGV preferred). You'll need to work well with the wider team while also confidently taking the initiative when necessary.
