JOB TITLE: Site Engineer - Lower Thames Crossing LOCATION: Grays/Gravesend TYPE: Permanent START DATE: ASAP Would you like to join a world class team to help to construct the Lower Thames Tunnel Crossing? T he Lower Thames Crossing will be the largest single road investment project in the UK since the M25 was completed more than 30 years ago. Rullion are proud to be partnering with Balfour Beatty to recruit for Site Engineers to join the Highways team for this project. What you'll be doing: The successful candidates will undertake the control and implementation of works on site, including monitoring and reporting of progress. Such an ambitious project requires a diverse range of skills and we're looking for Site Engineers with experience in any of the following areas: motorways, roadworks, rail, heavy civil construction, drainage, earthworks, piling, FRC, pavement construction and surfacing. Typical duties would include: Checking technical information, completing Inspection and Test Plans and Quality Check Sheets Setting the site teams to works with the necessary documentation Assisting with the production of short-term programmes Completion of as built programmes in line with the stage programmes Carrying out safety duties Undertaking Setting out activities Producing method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed Checking works during progress and ensuring design information are marked up on completion Taking receipt of materials What we're looking for: Have a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent experience Hold a minimum of a CSCS Card and a drivers license Experience in motorways, roadworks, rail, heavy civil construction, drainage, earthworks, piling, FRC, pavement construction and surfacing. Setting out experience is a must, along with the ability to use level and EDM, plus GPS Understand the Permit to Dig System Be knowledgeable and experienced in the use of Specification and other Contract documents Be able to take off and schedule material quantities accurately What We Offer: In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive a competitive salary, contributory pension, up to 25 days paid leave per year plus a range of other fantastic employee benefits.
