Children's Residential Support Worker

With the belief all children and young people should have access to a wide range of activities and experiences, our client provides a number of residential care homes in Thurrock, Grays, Essex for children and young people who have emotional behavioural difficulties. Providing a specialist therapeutic Residential and care to children aged 8 to 18, they offer them a homely family environment where they can learn, thrive and grow. If you'd like to support children and young people as a Residential Support Worker and have experience of working with children who have Difficulties, then we'd love to hear from you. Reporting to a Team Leader, the following experience is required: • Previous experience of working with children with learning difficulties or emotional & behavioural difficulties in a similar setting • Previous experience of key working children • As a residential support worker, be able to demonstrate a high level of emotional resilience and be able to work with a pragmatic approach towards all levels of possible adversities and challenges the young people may inadvertently display • Previous experience in report writing and confidence in using a laptop or PC Ideally you should hold level 3 in Health and Social Care with children or equivalent.
