To be a successful As the ideal Capital Allowances specialist they would love you to come from a professional services background with experience within tax - Unusually they are also open to hearing from qualified accountants with a background in audit looking to transition their career to Tax. Alternatively, you may have trained as a quantity or building surveyor and are looking to specialise your property and construction knowledge in tax. Whatever your background you should be commercially aware with strong technical skills (ideally including purchase claims), proven ability to read and interpret legislation and keen to further develop. Experience required: Qualified (ACA, ACCA, ATT, RICS etc.) or previous capital allowances experience What you’ll be doing The successful Capital Allowances specialist will work directly with the Capital Allowances Director, delivering capital allowances and land re mediation relief projects including: Preparing capital allowance claims for submission to HMRC Helping develop new systems and methodologies to aid analysis Reviewing legal documents and capital allowance reports Assisting in the preparation of proposals and high level feasibility reviews Our Client truly believes in putting their people first.
