Overview
Development Team Location: University Park Salary: £40,322 to £49,553 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance. Closing Date: 01/04/2020 Reference: NHE064520 We require an experienced person to be responsible for the management of a range of large and complex construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be required to coordinate the liaison with external clients and internal departments and manage a multi-disciplinary professional design team ensuring schemes are fit for purpose and are delivered to meet all necessary statutory, grant award or internal requirements. You will also be required when necessary to provide all documentation relating to projects and obtain, check and prepare estimates, monitoring spend and funding levels for designated projects and produce or assist in the production of business cases. You will be responsible for controlling budgets and projects vary in complexity and value up to £40m. This is a key role with the development team and will require creative thinking and problem solving skills to ensure deadlines area met while dealing with multiple projects in a demanding environment. Candidates should be a member (or probationer) of a recognised professional institution, i.e. RICS, CIOB, ARB with relevant sector experience and have demonstrable professional knowledge of work practices, processes and procedures relating to the delivery of large or complex projects. Wider relevant or commercial experience will also be considered. It is also essential for this role that candidates have proven experience of decision making on large and complex projects. This is a permanent, full-time position for 36.25 hours per week worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged. Applications for job share will be accepted.
