Overview
Cyber Security Officer One of our clients, a welsh government body, is looking for a Cyber Security Officer to support them with the increased workload due to COVID-19. The position is a 6-month contract and will pay the equivalent of £30k - £32k/annum. Due to the current situation, you would be working from home for the majority of the assignment but as the teams, main office locations are Cardiff, Swansea, Bangor, and Aberystwyth, you would need to be able to commute to those locations in case any situations arise that require a physical presence. What will you do? The main responsibilities of the Cyber Security Officer are:- - You will work with the Cyber Security Manager and IT security team to maintain our networks and support our colleagues in ensuring their IT environment is clear of threats and risks - You will resolve issues relating to IT security ensuring risks are mitigated and security issues are managed - You will assist with IT security investigations using Microsoft tools and report on findings - As the Cyber Security Officer, you will work with third-party suppliers to review IT security issues as they are integrated into live environments - The Cyber Security Officer will work closely with the wider IT Service Desk team to resolve any issues that arise with our IT network About you? The main qualifications and skills required for the Cyber Security Officer are:- - ITIL Foundation - A degree in ICT or demonstrable ICT Security training such as training from CompTIA, ISACA or ISC - Strong Customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills - Excellent team working skills - The ability to analyse complex technical issues - Experience using Nessus, Office 365 and Microsoft Azure Security - As the Cyber Security Officer, you will need to be able to work under pressure and work to tight timescales What next?
