Overview
We are working with a market leader in the consumer electronics industry seeking a Test Manager to join their team. It will be a busy and varied role; the ideal candidate will be adaptable and flexible to meet changing requirements. Candidates must have existing relevant electronic testing experience. Main Responsibilities: Produce strategy for testing team and review current processes, revising where necessary to implement strategy Commercially focused, assess repairs to ensure they are economically viable and profitable Agree targets and deadlines for testing of stock with suppliers and product development Create test plans for returned stock, managing a quick and efficient turnaround of stock Carry out stock checks Produce regular reports on processed items and use data to identify patterns and trends Take a proactive approach to product testing providing feedback to product development for future runs Work with Operations Manager to allocate additional resources to testing when required Key Skills/ Competencies: Experience in an electronic engineering role is essential Able to work in an organised and methodical way Self-motivated demonstrating commitment, rigour, flexibility and integrity Team player with a positive outlook Experience in a management role dealing with different areas of the business Good reporting and analytical skills Commercially focused Due to the location of the company this position is commutable from Ely, St Ives, Cambridge, Bedford, Royston, Sawston, St Neots, Newmarket and Huntingdon.
