Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join a well-established Interior contractor based near to Cambridge. Our client specialises in producing and installing high quality joinery for commercial and residential projects. Due to continued success, they are going through a growth phase and therefore need an Estimator to supplement the existing team. The successful Estimator will be responsible for pricing tenders varying in volume and value, so it is important that they are able to meet deadlines, communicate efficiently and manage expectations. The candidate must also be confident liaising with clients, suppliers and co-workers. Our client will consider an experienced Estimator or College/University Graduate looking for an opportunity to start their career in Estimating within the construction industry. The role will be tailored accordingly. Estimator Position Overview Deal with tender enquiries, providing professional advice and clearly set expectations with each client on turnaround times Deliver prices in multiple sectors including commercial, educational and residential Liaise with clients to professionally manage the delivery of each tender and set expectations, attendance to client meetings will be required on occasion Preparation of schedules of components for quantifying purposes Preparation of take-offs ready for factory production Procurement of new stock and negotiation on prices - Liaise with existing and source potential new suppliers, negotiating rates in favour of the business Oversee valuations and variations on assigned projects, maintain full control over each project. Estimator Position Requirements Experience working on Fit out/ Commercial projects as an Estimator Experience within an office environment Ability to work within a team and individually Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and Word The ability to pay attention to detail Estimator Position Remuneration Competitive salary (D.O.E) Further benefits to be discussed Bennett & Game Recruitment are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
