Hands-on Finance Manager Role - Hereford, Herefordshire - £35,000 - £40,000 per annum - Hays Accountancy Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading security services business based in Hereford, Herefordshire to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Finance Manager. A newly created position supporting the Financial Director having responsibility for all management accounting requirements and developing a reporting structure that provides accounting processes for multiple business areas under the Group. Alongside this, the role will require the introduction of budgeting and forecasting activities as well as offering support to the finance team with treasury, purchase ledger and sales ledger duties. Your new role Your key duties will involve management of the accounting team including coaching and development, month end management account preparation, year-end preparation and audit assistance, along with budgeting and forecasting across head office and regional departments. You will maintain management schedules, P&L, balance sheet review and reconciliation, oversee VAT/Intrastat reporting, fixed asset register, annual depreciations and working capital management. You will be involved in forex planning, various reporting and analysis for senior management along with supporting with financial projects, process and system improvements. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this exciting and hands-on Finance Manager role, you will need experience within a similar position, ideally qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA. You will have experience supervising/managing a team, strong IT skills with key MS Excel experience and good interpersonal communications and presentation skills. You will need to multi-task in a busy environment, meet deadlines and maintain a high attention to detail. You will have to the ability to efficiently communicate with a wide range of people via phone and email and be confident with internal and external stakeholders. Any experience within the security sector would be advantageous but not essential.
