Overview
BI Analyst West London Recruiting for a BI Analyst / Project Manager for a high profile Media Company. As a BI Project Manager/Analyst you will be managing and leading a team to develop and improve its technology for commercial advantage, compliance with data regulation and improved business insight. The newly hired BI Analyst will be required to take a hands on role with management for all day to day activities, as well as overseeing the BI teams and will elicit/document business requirements from colleagues around the business, capture and implement resulting systems and system changes. Sometimes you will need to lead by example. The Project Manager will also define the project objectives in agreement with the business owner/sponsor and oversee quality control throughout the life-cycle. The Project Manager may be required to manage multiple projects or a single major project. In terms of the analyst duties - You will be responsible for analysis and documentation processes that is required to: extract data from various source systems, transform and cleanse this data as required and load the data into a data lake/data warehouse. Salary range for this role is £33,000 - £35,000 depending on Experience and relocation package also offered. Reporting into the Group Head of Data and Business Intelligence. Required Skills Worked in Business Intelligence Projects/Data Centric Projects for 3 years At least 2 years experience of Project Management Worked in Business Intelligence Projects/Data Centric Projects for 3 years Worked in an Agile methodology Experience of working within an environment run according to highly structured procedures Experience of managing personal data in accordance with data protection legislation Previous with technically complex and diverse environments Worked with Data Warehouses and Data Warehouse requirements gathering/documentation Understanding of different data source types: MS SQL Server, JSON/XML, Flat Files etc. Competent in SQL Technical Diagrams (UML) Writing Technical Documentation. Understanding of Metadata and deconstruction of data sources. Working in an Agile Environment Translate business requirements into technical specifications and Business rules.
