The Opportunity: To provide technology direction to a range of stakeholders including suppliers, IT and QBE business through strategies, roadmaps, standards and project options. Provide support to the delivery of global enterprise programmes. Responsible for the development and alignment of domain focused reference architectures, strategies, roadmaps, and communication of the domain services' Target Technology Architecture Blueprints. Provide support to the delivery of global enterprise programs. Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to: Conduct technology assurance and governance. Ensure alignment to architecture policy and practices Maximize the alignment & leverage reuse of technology, establish common solutions & optimize skills across QBE to achieve cost efficiencies Deliver or contribute to strategy, principles, policies and roadmaps for assigned domains in line with agreed timelines and QBE priorities Define and govern product and technology standards Work with operational teams to understand pain points and to drive innovation and service improvement Use standardised tools and approach to documenting enterprise architecture to ensure consistency across the team Actively promote and embed the architecture ways of working and due governance Conduct research of emerging architecture and technology trends Provide support during technology decision making activities You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience: Mandatory: Significant experience of developing architectures for public and private clouds Experience of developing migration frameworks for migrating workloads to public cloud Working knowledge of architecture: concepts, practices and tools Proven ability to deliver architecture in a large-scale fast-moving dynamic environment Working knowledge of emerging and disruptive technologies Excellent knowledge of the inter-operation of hardware, network and software components necessary for the delivery of complete, complex systems Have developed global strategies and gained approval via senior stakeholder engagement Preferred: Working knowledge of Insurance business Excellent knowledge of Azure services Experience of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure technologies. Basic knowledge of the end-to-end business context of any architecture work to ensure it meets the broader business needs of QBE Basic knowledge of developing IT/insurance & cross industry/competitor trends (applications, delivery models, new technology concepts etc) Working in a global team / organization At QBE, we view our people as our most precious asset.
