Experience: You will be an IT Support Field Technician and part of the Field Support Team that is managed by Gareth Davies, from our office in Wymbush, Milton Keynes. This position will be a mixture of client site day visits, client site cover for Mirus Engineers and Milton Keynes office based. Clients are within a 50-mile radius of Milton Keynes. The key responsibility for a IT Support Field Technician is to attend client sites and perform break-fix maintenance for all reported issues. You are also expected to respond to reactive issues and complete the successful installation of both software and hardware to meet client requirements. For this you will have: – 1-2 years’ experience within a technical position supporting SME’s; Familiar with working to SLA’s to meet both customer and contract requirements; Troubleshooting experience to an intermediate level (Level 1 support); Experience of supporting multi-site clients; 2-3 years in a customer focused position. Essential Technical Skill-set PC / Server Hardware. Software Application (Installation, removal and troubleshooting) Desirable Technical Skill-set Windows Server Technologies (2008/2012/2016). VMware / Hyper-V. Active Directory. Firewalls (ideally SonicWall) and Routers. Backup Technologies (Backup Exec, Veeam etc.). Networking, including DNA, DHCP. NAS and Storage Technologies. Interview Process: We are mindful that the recruitment process can take up time and mean days off from work. Because of this, we have two remote interviews and only one that takes place at our office in Milton Keynes. First stage: This will be a 30 minute – 45 minute technical conversation one of the Mirus Senior Engineers; Second stage: Will be a Skype video interview with Gareth Davies, Field Service Manager Third stage: A face to face interview with Gareth Davies, Field Service Manager and Chris Maybray, Service Delivery Director; Final stage: This is offer and agreement of a start date.
