Facilities Manager

Euro Car Parts property portfolio provides over 4,000,000 square feet of warehousing across its Distribution Centres and branch warehouses, in over 350 properties throughout the UK and Ireland. The Facilities Manager will need to be able to interface with and communicate with colleagues very well. The Facilities Manager will be working with contractors, employees, and higher-level executives, all with the goal of ensuring that the physical operations of the company be maintained. Experience is needed to be able to identify potential issues before they occur and to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Demonstrated leadership skills, the Facilities Manager will need to set goals, be a good organiser and make sure people respond to ideas and instructions. The Facilities Manager must be able to motivate their colleagues and external suppliers, measuring the results efficiently Key Responsibilities Lead Contract Manager for third party FM / Repairs and Maintenance Contract Ensure statutory compliance with all safety and security protocols, including management of compliance files for all sites Dealing with emergency issues that arise (anything that breaches the safety, security, or usability of the facilities / branches) Racking - responsibility of repairs and maintenance and sourcing of materials / contractors to build new or extend existing racking Scheduling necessary maintenance and management tasks Create plans for replacements and repairs Developing and managing vendor contracts Project and programme management of small works, new builds, fit-outs and refurbishments Planned preventative maintenance Preparing financial forecasts and budgets and managing Capex expenditure S kills and Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a facilities management role Contract management expertise Highly motivated and driven with ability to work individually and part of a team High standard of interpersonal skills with clear and concise verbal and written communication IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Location: Based at Euro Car Parts head office in Tamworth or Field based covering a National property portfolio across UK and Ireland, the successful candidate will be required to travel to locations across the UK and Ireland and attend team meetings at Euro Car Parts head office at Birch Coppice Business Park, Tamworth, B78 1SE How we reward: Your career is only limited by your ambition and will to succeed.
