Overview
Cork Gully has been the leading name in Restructuring over the last 100 years. This is an opportunity for Graduates with an interest in business to join our busy restructuring / insolvency team with an international reputation. We would particularly invite applications from candidates who have business or legal degrees although this is not essential. Candidates should be keen to: develop their knowledge of the law; enhance their professional skills from previous work experience; and apply these skills to working as an Executive at Cork Gully LLP. As an Executive at Cork Gully LLP you will be involved in a range of restructuring assignments, including formal appointments. The day to day aspects of the role include: - the running of your own workload, which requires you to: build rapport with case related third parties; communicate and provide information to creditors and shareholders; and support other members of the team enabling you to improve your wider understanding of cases; - being in attendance of: trading underperforming businesses; selling distressed businesses; securing assets; realising assets for stakeholders; tracing assets and conducting investigations; managing litigation; court related issues and any other matters relating to the development of the case; - working alongside the partners, managers and senior members of the firm, learning from their experiences to broaden your knowledge of business; - Understanding the legislative requirements of an insolvency process; assessing the commercial effect of all decisions on this process; considering the financial implications of such decisions; and appreciating how all of these aspects form part of the overall proceedings and your role as an Executive at Cork Gully LLP.
