Overview
Responsible for the preparation of & familiarisation with bordereaux collection and other files for effective presentation to Underwriters. Duties will include: Create entries and update financial records on relevant system(s) Assist brokers in the advising of all claims to various markets. Liaise with colleagues and insurers on claims Draft standard letters, ensuring that these are checked by senior colleagues Draft and send non standard correspondence, ensuring that these are checked by senior colleagues Answer the telephone, using own judgement on the referral of callers to a senior colleague and ensuring that information given is accurately recorded Make written records of all conversations with customers and/or insurers, or other relevant business contacts, in accordance with the firm's procedures manual Complete cheque and/or TT requisitions and liaise with Accounts Dept for the same Deal with claims payments under direct supervision of a senior colleague/Manager Producing claims statistics and liaising with placing teams to produce earned to incurred statistics. Monitoring progress of own work and report to line manager Ensure that the firm's systems and compliance are followed at all times, in accordance with the firm's compliance manual Ensure that firm's systems and procedures are followed at all times, in accordance with the firm's procedures manual. Deputise for Premium Bordereaux team as required Candidates for this role will be offering at least 3 years relevant experience ideally gained with a Lloyds Broker, excellent communications skills, the desire to pursue professional qualifications and a reasonable level of MS Excel skills.
