Overview

We are looking for a pro-active Children’s Residential Team Leader in the Leeds area of West Yorkshire to work within a small residential service for children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), mild Learning Disabilities and Children than have suffered significant trauma and abuse. The Children The home has had an Outstanding OFSTED inspection and they pride themselves on never giving up. They work with young people aged 8-18 who are unable to live within a family setting. They provide a therapeutic approach where they combine care, education and therapy to meet the children’s needs. As their Team Leader, you will be pivotal in creating a safe environment for young people to flourish, maximising their potential to achieve a positive future and supporting staff to deliver the highest standard of care. Experience & Requirements It is essential that you have Level 3 in Children & Young People or Residential Childcare- no other qualifications accepted. You must have experience in residential care and at least 1 years’ experience in a Supervisory/Senior role with children. You will have an expert understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. You will hold a manual driving licence so you will be able to drive the home’s vehicle.
