Overview
Team Leader - Children's Residential Services, Permanent position, Flexible Working, up to £25,450, Start ASAP Team Leader - Residential Children's Services We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Children's Care provider in the Leeds area. This is a permanent position for a Team Leader in a Children's Residential Home in Leeds. This position has an immediate start date with an annual salary of £21560 - £25450. The position is working 39 hours per week on a flexible working pattern. You will be working with Children between the ages of 7 - 12 years and be responsible for facilitating and supporting their growth in a Physical, social, psychological and emotional capacity. You are entitled to 30 days holiday (including Bank holidays, a Simply Health Scheme and have access to prestigious high street and online discounts. Your new role To provide the Children with a safe and predictable environment and to be able to focus on their needs in stressful situations To organise the rota for the Support Workers in the Home Resolve any issues that may arise with either the Support Workers or the Children Ensure that all staff are supported in their role and meeting the expected standard of care To have thorough knowledge of care plans and the ability to conduct risk assessments Be able to physically intervene in a proactive approach if a Child is displaying behaviour that may pose a risk to themselves or others To assist in the running of the home, supporting the Children in attending school, administering medication, house duties and to take the Children to various activities and events Ensure that you are alert to signs of abuse or distress and to monitor the needs of the Children. To provide a comfortable and supportive home environment. Prioritise the well-being of the children above everything else, keeping the Children safe. Requirements for the Role Must be eligible to work in the UK. Ability to work unsocial hours including 24/7 shift work, sleep-ins, weekends, bank holidays. Able to work extra hours to cover sickness and annual leave at short notice. Be committed to the safety of the household and complete household duties including cooking.
