This will ensure our patients consistently get the best possible outcomes and local teams gain more control and responsibility. A little about this role Reporting to the Director responsible for Health & safety you will provide competent advice and guidance on H&S matters as well as represent health & safety on senior charity management and governance committees. You will provide leadership to the charities Health & safety Strategy and ensure this is implemented and evolved over time as well as providing leadership, direction and development to a small skilled Health & Safety team to ensure they are effective in delivering charity H&S objectives. You will have full control of the Health & Safety budget and will be responsible for continuously improving health & safety across the charity as well as engaging and building relationships with key stakeholders in order to influence Health & Safety initiatives. You will be the go to person for H&S in the charity so keeping up to date with legislation and compliance will be essential. And a little more about you You will have an enthusiastic, positive, collaborative approach with an eye for detail. The ability to build effective relationships, influence, remain resilient and ensure a starter finisher approach is essential. You will be a member of IOSH or Institution of Fire Engineer and have experience leading a team of health & safety professionals as well as presenting and influencing at board level.
