Overview

Experienced Network Engineer required to join this innovative Glasgow-based professional services firm on a 6-month FTC (PAYE). As BAU Network Engineer, you will work collaboratively with specialist colleagues to provide a delivery-focused 3rd line support for the firm’s global network infrastructure and disaster recovery solutions. You will also provide support for the implementation of new systems and technologies across the business. Key Responsibilities: Creation and maintenance of technical implementation plans and support documentation Managing the effective and efficient running of the firm’s global network Developing policies to ensure the maintenance and optimal performance of network infrastructure 3rd line support and ownership of WAN and LAN technologies, working in collaboration with all top-level support colleagues Contributing to developing network security, ensuring the network meets required security standards and controls Working with 3rd party contacts to resolve network issues, identifying root cause analysis Providing ad hoc project support to Architecture and InfoSec colleagues for matters relating to network infrastructure and disaster recovery To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have strong knowledge/experience of: CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent knowledge Troubleshooting of complex network, systems and security issues Designing and implementing multi-site LANs and WANs Cisco Switching, Cisco Nexus 3k & 9k Routing protocols (BGP/EIRGP/OSPF) Wireless technologies, including global Aruba deployments Firewalls (Palo Alto/Fortinet/Mcafee) Riverbed/Steelhead WAN accelerators MPLS network and VPN networks Implementing QoS and troubleshooting QoS issues in a Cisco environment Desirable skills Experience of cloud solution providers (Azure, O365, AWS, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) Azure ExpressRoute VMWare NSX, Micro-Segmentation and Software Defined Networking Excellent Salary (DOE) Benefits.
