Overview
One of our London-based FinTech clients is looking to hire a Cloud Engineer to support the technology team at the exciting period of fast growth. The successful candidate will receive 6-8 weeks specific free training to equip you with the skills to succeed working at our client. The academy will cover Technical Skills required by the client as well as Modern Engineering best practice and Professional Expertise training. What do we need? We are looking for candidates that are passionate about technology and have an eagerness to build on their skills and experience. The following skills will be taught as part of our training academy so if you already have experience in any of the below you’re winning MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of our Technical Support team - you will interact with users of the FinTech technology team via support tickets, Chat, eMail or Phone. Setup and maintenance of product on GCP, AWS, on-premise environments on an ongoing basis Support issues related to VM, Docker, Container that may cause outage or performances lag Develops and monitor cost reports for the analysis to control AWS /GCP Billing Develop Alerts to different infra teams from AWS /GCP to attend and resolve all VM capacity/ uptime related issues proactively Ensure that Service Level Agreements are met at all times Exhibit continuous improvement in technical knowledge and problem resolution skills and strive for excellence Analyse patterns of incidents, develop permanent remediation plans, and implement automation to prevent future incidents from occurring through software engineering. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent ITIL Certification is an added advantage. AWS, Azure, or GCP Certification a plus Experience in performance engineering and monitoring using tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages- Python, Java Experience with Capacity and Resilience management practices and procedures is beneficial. Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge with Virtualization or Cloud solutions like Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, Hyper-V or Office365 would be an advantageous skills Basic understanding of Github, Jenkins, Docker, Containers Knowledge in enterprise monitoring tools would be an advantageous skill Knowledge & Experience of Docker / Container Products. Good understanding of DevOps principles (CI/CD, release automation) What’s in it for you?
