Blackwaters is recruiting for Group Accounts Payable, 6 month contract, within a Worldwide Business Services company based near Addlestone. The Business Business Services Group is enjoying c 20% year-on-year growth, which is driving the recruitment of this position as the company expands, improves & divesifies it's finance team. The company is regularly winning new business, including contracts with multi-national household name clients. It has operations across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia & the Americas. The Role Reporting to the Group Finance Manager. 6 month contract. The Group Accounts Payable is responsible for day to day processing of supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements and preparing weekly/monthly payment runs for each of our offices, as well as some ad hoc projects. Duties & Responsibilities: Processing supplier invoices includes data checking on our internal system, checking nominal codes, exchange rates and uploading into our accounting system. Preparing weekly/monthly payment runs for each office in various currencies. Also, work with vendor team to ensure payment terms are in place and met for all suppliers. Updating the AP ledger with all payments made to suppliers, issuing remittances advices for suppliers. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues. Correspond with suppliers and respond to inquiries within specified time frame. Building and developing robust working relations with key vendors and with colleagues. Assist with month end closing of the AP Ledger. Provide supporting documentation for auditors. The Candidate: The company is prioritising applicants who are keen to progress their careers within an expanding business. Experience: Knowledge of accounts payable. Knowledge of general accounting procedures. Knowledge of accounting software (Sage 300 ideal but not necessary). Experience of working with various currencies.
