We are looking for Java Engineer to join a growth software client in central London; Our software engineering team is made up of fun, super smart, international members who, learn and work fast. This is team that will help you be a better programmer and will both teach you and learn from you. We need Back End Java Developers with an interest in DevOps to join our Core Services team. This is a rapidly expanding team of experienced developers who are going to become the backbone of our platform initiative. Our tech stack Java 8, AWS, Docker, RabbitMQ, Spring (Boot and Security), Microservices, Hibernate, Jenkins, Git, REST APIs, Swagger, MySQL, MongoDB, WSO2 What you will be doing • Greenfield development • Work on the full SDLC of advanced cloud-based systems. • Contribute to technical design, architecture and code quality • The freedom and the tools to actively contribute new ideas, try new approaches to our design and development process. • The option/opportunity to pursue an Architecture role as you take on responsibility for all of the integration points with our other products and teams. From DevOps to CI/CD to designing and building an API Gateway for other Altus Analytics teams to centralize authentication and authorisation. You will provide technical expertise to of the platform to other teams. Essential requirements for the role • A strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, OO design • Proficiency with Java 8 and experience using Spring, Hibernate and REST APIs • An interest in DevOps and architecture • A desire to solve highly complex technical challenges • Passion for learning new technologies • Experience working in agile teams • Experience with at least one of the following: AWS, Docker, Microservices, DevOps, Swagger, Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery.
