Overview
Financial Processes and Controls Accountant position in East Reading Your new company Your new company is based in Reading with good transportation links between the offices and the station. This business is a leading organisation within the hospitality sector and due to internal progression, they are now looking for a Part or Newly Qualified accountant to join their large finance team. Your new role Balance Sheet Reviews Analytical review of the various company balance sheets Using Blackline to assess risk and identifying required corrective actions Follow- up to ensure corrective actions are completed Data Analysis Monitor transaction flows to identify anomalies and exceptions and review of transaction detail to understand cause of fluctuations Develop existing Excel data models to extend this monitoring Review 'key' accounts on a monthly basis, monitoring and reporting on exceptions Blackline System Management Managing the period end process, as well as ad hoc administrative tasks Reviewing and evaluating account reconciliations prepared by users Monitoring data flows to and from Blackline ensuring data is complete and up to date Summarising performance data for reporting to management Managing and further developing automated journal creation Provide introductory guidance to new users of Blackline Assisting the wider Finance Controls team on ad hoc activities and projects E.g. Statutory accounts preparation and assisting the Financial Reporting team. What you'll need to succeed Qualified or Finalist level essential (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) Experience of Blackline desireable SOX Detailed and complex balance sheet work Strong Excel Strong communication skills What you'll get in return You will receive a flexible work package that will provide you with some of the following.
