Overview

Head of Learning and Development - Professional Development - Financial Services - 70k - London To develop and implement a structured approach to Professional Development for all Advisers/Self Employed Consultants and Supervisors. To continually review and develop the professional standards of all Advisers/Self Employed Consultants and Supervisors. To build and implement a robust system of Professional Development to enable the Advisers/Self Employed Consultants to grow in line with the business plan. The role has overall accountability for the learning and development strategy, professional development training programmes and meeting regulatory and operational risk requirements. To continually review and develop the professional standards of all employees – with particular reference to regulated activity, and to oversee the management of the Development Managers delivery and implementation of both pre-planned and reactive business driven Training for advisers/self-employed consultants, managers and paraplanners. To ensure the strategic alignment of the Professional Development Team with the business goals. Challenges: To achieve continually increasing professional standards to enable the Private Client & Corporate divisions attain professional competence & the wider business goals. To build a robust system of Professional Development to enable the Financial Advisers grow in line with the business plan. To create a national approach to training and development. To build a learning environment to ensure best client outcomes in every transaction. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Diploma qualified Professional Qualification in Management or Training Management A proven track record within Sales and Management, a minimum of three years experience A high level of understanding of the regulatory requirements, and to be able to anticipate future changes Analytical & coaching skills Experience at a strategic level for project management & change management, planning training and/or development initiatives Previous experience as a financial adviser would be of great benefit to this position.
