The purpose of this role is to manage the smooth running of all accounting and financial requirements of the company and to ensure that monthly and annual deadlines are met. The successful candidate will ideally have: recent experience in the Insurance and Finance sector; strong reconciliation capability; expert excel skills, management accounts, payroll, auditing, setting of and reporting on board level KPIs, optimising and controlling company spend as well as production and maintenance of company P&L, Cashflow analysis and Balance Sheet. Experience of industry software such as Open GI or CDL would be advantageous. Main duties: Producing monthly management accounts (income split between class of business, payments, commission breakdowns, 3rd party revenues, P&L statement) Budget management, P&L, Cashflow and balance sheet Cash book posting Bank Reconciliations Controlling Credit with clients and insurers (issuing monthly statements and proactively reducing the debt via emails / phone calls etc). Creating reports Directors Preparing year end quarterly accounts etc.to trial balance Liaising with Accountant to run monthly payroll Managing office / Director expenses / petty cash Managing month and year end / FCA returns Management of all supplier relationships and control and optimise spend, managing tender processes to reduce and control costs General Office Management Key skills required: Insurance Industry experience Open Gi accounting and reporting experience advantageous Ability to reconcile accounts where payments split over various insurance companies / currencies Prepare quarterly / year end accounts etc. to trial balance Ability to create and implement new processes to improve efficiency High level of attention to detail Self-motivated / confident over telephone and face to face Proven track record of continuous improvement Dynamic target driven and decisive Focused, logical and creative. A real team player with brilliant problem solving and reconciliation skills. Full time role.
