Management Accountant (Part Qualified) - Logistics Our client, a world class logistics business who specialise in the creative space and have been around for over 40 years, are looking to hire a Management Accountant (MA) who will report into the Financial Controller within a 6 person finance team, based in their central London office. Job purpose The Management Accountant is a key role within the team, responsible for accurate financial reporting and business analysis. Providing support to the FC in business planning and reporting and acting as a mentor to the rest of the finance team. Responsibilities Ownership of monthly management accounts and KPIs Complete the production of monthly balance sheet reconciliations Gain a good understanding of cost base and account for variances at month end Reconcile monthly revenue to cost of sales and work with the business to investigate and explain differences (WIP knowledge desirable) Produce a weekly cash flow forecast and monitor capital expenditure projects Providing value add business analysis, proactive business partnering Review weekly estimate and conversion reports prior to submission Work with the Financial Controller to structure Finance processes to achieve accounting best practice Undertake process review of scheduled tasks, streamline and/or automate where possible Review the submission of all statutory returns, including VAT, National Statistics and Insurance renewals Provide holiday cover for other team members Assist in annual audit Participating in projects Respond to ad hoc reporting requirements as required Skills & Person specification Part qualified ACCA/CIMA Accountant Current experience of management accounting within industry or practice Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail Excellent computer literacy, including strong Excel skills (advanced analytical abilities) Experience of extracting data from finance ledger systems and business systems to provide profitability analysis (Access Dimensions useful but not essential) Confident and effective communicator, with finance and non-finance colleagues Persistent character with the ability to challenge processes
