Overview
We are looking for a capital build project manager with a back ground in working on client side / consultant public sector or education projects experience. This is an interesting role where you would be looking after multiply projects ranging for £100k to £6 million new build and refurbishment projects. You must have worked with NEC 3 or 4 and ideally JCT contract. To assume the role of Project Manager of schemes including, monitoring of the works, monitoring of Health and Safety, ensuring that acceptable quality standards of workmanship and performance are achieved and authorising payments to contractors. To work within Corporate Procurement financial regulations and standing orders to ensure compliance and that expenditure is controlled and all schemes are completed within budget and on time and agree final accounts with the contractors. Prepare feasibility studies and option appraisals for a wide variety of capital schemes including new build, remodelling, fit out and refurbishment projects. Prepare, submit and monitor planning and building regulation applications through to approval. Experience and qualifications to include HNC in a Building/Construction related subject or equivalent Experience in managing Consultants/Contractors to deliver projects Experience in process of preparing feasibility studies, option appraisals, presentation drawings and detailed design of a range of schemes and projects
