Overview
Senior Scientist Location: Aberdeen, Aberdeen City Salary/Rate: £28,000 - 35,000 /annum negotiable depending on experience The role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Scientist to join a growing biotechnology company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise and scientific leadership to a team working on a strong research pipeline. The role will involve hands on flow cytometry and immune assay development and work with preclinical models in vitro and in vivo. The position will offer excellent exposure within a fast paced research team The company Our client is an innovative biopharma company at the forefront of their industry and offers an excellent environment in which to develop. Experience/ Qualifications Minimum PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. immunology, oncology, biomedical science) Minimum 1-2 years’ postdoc work experience is preferred Strong experience with flow cytometry (FACS) Some experience in in vivo studies is essential (a current Home Office Personal License preferred but not essential) Good communication skills and ability to present own ideas Previous line management experience would be highly beneficial as the role would involve some supervisory responsibility Keywords Process, optimisation, development, cell culture, biotechnology, scientist, senior scientist, laboratory, R and D, research, assay, flow cytometry, microbiology, gut, host, microbe, anaerobic, immunology, FACS, flow cytometry, in vivo.
