Overview
Reed Education have the pleasure of working with Children's Residential homes in and around West London and Middlesex such as the boroughs within Ealing, Hammersmith, Hillingdon, Harrow, Brent, Hounslow, Wandsworth and more, who are looking for Support Workers to cover various shifts (7am - 1pm OR 2pm - 10pm) on a supply basis as and when required. Some roles can become longer term. Some shifts may also be within schools working hours such as 8am – 4pm. As a Support Worker, every day will be different and you won't find a more rewarding career. The Schools residential site/ home caters for SEN children, specifically those with Autism, therefore experience in providing care/support to people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues is a MUST or be able to work in such an environment with strong resilience. Job Type: Full-time and part time flexible shifts may also be available. What you need to succeed: - Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one - Passion to work with children and those with special educational needs - Be resilient and be understanding of the situation each individual may be facing due to their own individual situations - Be able to speak and write fluent English - Have a caring nature and approach - Ideally have worked with children with SEN or be willing to work with children whose behaviour is very challenging - Flexible in the hours you work If this interests you, please do appl y below
