Yes, adapted, manual drive Essential: Experience supporting a young client with complex care needs, experience working within a family setting Start Date: ASAP Days & Hours: Please see shift pattern below Family/Client Pets: No About this client/child: Benjamin is nearly 10 years old, he is a busy bee who enjoys a range of activities which include watching Mickey Mouse and spending time outdoors. Benjamin has Total Body Dystonia which affects all areas of his development. He is a wheelchair user, dependent on others to meet all his care needs and uses a hoist for transfers. Benjamin lives at home with his Mummy and 3 brothers; he loves spending time with his family. Overview of role: Benjamin requires 2:1 support 24/7, the role will involve providing hands-on care and support during the day, monitoring Benjamin throughout the night, assisting with personal care, feeding, implementing therapy programmes, administering medication, light nursery and encouraging a good sleep routine. Set shifts available: Week 1- Monday: 8.00pm – 8.30am (waking night) Wednesday: 3.30pm – 8.00pm Thursday: 3.30pm – 8.00pm Sunday: 8.00am – 8.00pm Week 2- Monday: 8.00pm – 8.30am (waking night) Wednesday: 3.30pm – 8.00pm Thursday: 3.30pm – 8.00pm Saturday: 8.00am – 8.00pm Sunday: 8.00am – 8.00pm Who this job would suit: A confident, sensitive and experienced support worker with excellent communication skills and previously has worked in a family setting supporting a young client with complex care needs.
