This product line was created two years ago to address a growing demand from Thales Customers and support their digital transformation. To support this ambition, our UK Research and Development Centre (RDC) are endeavouring to grow the portfolio of existing products, new products and new technologies which include: Supporting Customers that want to get quick access to their data Predictive maintenance and operational support Passenger journey analytics National motorway traffic information Online rail journey planning Initial undertakings in this area will be focused on developing and increasing the Order Intake forecast, based predominately on new opportunities within the current customer base and new adjacent transport focused targets. With a target to establish new opportunities. This role will also liaise with the Senior Business Development Leads (BDDs) & Client Principles (Key Account Leads), in ensuring that 3 year growth is achieved through the creation of new business opportunities. The purpose of the role is to act as the Business Development Manager for Thales’ Digital Services portfolio deploying digital services & solutions to address the Digital Transport & Intelligent Mobility (Passenger Experience) Markets. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Proactively target current and new customers on up-selling our Digital Services product line. Prepare sales forecasts and targets and manage those targets such that the Sales forecasts are met or bettered on an annual basis. Qualify specific opportunities and prepare business operations information for validation within the business Growing the sales pipeline developing relationships with ICS Sales Director and customers to drive new business Create, update and internally present detailed and effective capture plans for specific opportunities Management and preparation of sales material and submissions to customers Participate in Gate Review meetings Manage opportunities, including organising the creation of partnerships and teaming agreements with key external channels Undertake an assessment of Thales specific opportunities as required by the Sales Director Advise the Bid Managers in the preparation of Gate Business Cases for specific opportunities. Skills and Experience Proven experience of growing Digital Services/Offering product lines. Maximising opportunities utilising current customer base and Key Account Managers Customer focused (internal & external) balanced with recognising the need for operational accuracy, and working within and leading on complex governance processes Ability to establish and meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritise multiple, simultaneous events Ideally in depth knowledge of a range of transportation solutions, particularly in relation to the transportation industry and digital services Experience of managing business development within a Sales, Marketing & Bids environment. Ability to collaborate with a team of Sales & Bid managers to enable the construction of winning strategies and commercial and technical solutions that meet the customer and Transportation market’s need In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
