Overview
Logistics done differently. We are currently looking for Digital Warehouse Operatives with FLT training experience on a 6-month FTC at our new digital distribution operation for our customer, Nestle – this will be a fully automated site and a stand-out technological hub for XPO Logistics – exciting stuff eh? The site is based at East Midlands Gateway – easily commutable from Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. You will not only be involved in day to day warehouse duties, including loading/unloading and packing, but will be involved in helping us observe, test and sign off our automated warehouse processes pre our go live date. You will also be providing training to all staff on FLT trucks so will need to be ITSSAR accredited. You will be working 42 hours per week rotating days and nights on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern so flexibility in working hours is a must Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer an hourly rate of £9.50 per hour rising to £10.00 per hour on successful completion of probationary period. What you’ll do on a typical day: Be involved in all training on all FLT’s for new starters and refreshers throughout the site Key operational tasks would include unloading pallets from inbound vehicles, case picking at manual picking stations, manual decant, loading of vehicles. Proactively monitor product flow and interpret information to identify emerging issues and investigate causes. Proactively take measures to prevent incidents by adhering to all QHSE procedures and identifying and removing potential hazards safely and appropriately.
