Overview

Recruitment Heroes are working in partnership with a 46 bedded home with nursing to recruit for a Registered Home Manager. A Registered Care Home Manager (ideally with RMN / RGN or with more than 3 years of CQC registered manger with proven track record) is required to work within a team to supervise and grow an effective and efficient service. The home is a 46 bed mental health, residential and nursing, based in Sheffield. This exciting and challenging opportunity is for an experienced individual in the care sector. The applicant will have strong commercial and financial capabilities, hold budget accountability and be effective negotiators and influencers, good knowledge of effective reporting, recording, monitoring and review of targets and ensure routine internal audit processes of service delivery are followed. The role is to ensure that the care home exceeds the regulatory expectations and compliance by the CQC and other governing bodies. The manager will be responsible for providing regular audits and reviews to ensure the care home is providing an excellent service to the service users and providing an outstanding service exceeding the guidelines of the CQC and the professional bodies. The individual is expected to work in a collaborate manner with Regional manager and staff and encourage them to improve standards and maintain a fully compliant status. The applicant will be experienced in the care arena, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and forward thinking who puts service users and our carers first, understands what good quality looks like and is able to challenge and improve services, whilst appreciating the internal and external pressures. The Ideal Candidate Key Responsibilities · Be responsible for the development, growth and operational performance of the service, staff and carers in the field. · Responsible for reporting all staff changes to HR and Payroll departments, as appropriate e.g. starters, leavers, additional hours etc. · Deliver effective, professional and commercially focused briefings and supervision meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting & communications flow up/down is effective. · Develop key business relationships with all relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities. · Ensure that all safeguarding cases are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to senior Managers. · Investigate and manage Complaints in a timely and professional manner in accordance with our policy. · Investigate and manage client and carer related incidents in accordance with CQC and internal reporting procedures. · Where appropriate to role, carry client group specialism activities, linking in with other managers to ensure focused integration of specialisms across the whole organisation. · Promote, drive and grow brand new care packages. · Take the lead responsibility for allocated client documentation ensuring care plans and client files are kept accurate and up to date. · Complete new and update care needs and risk assessments for new clients to a high standard and conduct client reviews and case conferences as required, obtaining input from other relevant parties such as family members and other health professionals as necessary. · Attend meetings with other agencies involved with the client e.g. Care Managers/Age Concern/Community Psychiatric Nurse/clients’ families to review and recommend changes to the care packages as required. · To carry out assessments, reviews, appraisals and spot checks in line with all current legislation and Company policies, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and on a timely basis. · Working with your team deliver creative and ambitious customer involvement plans across the patch and ensure successful implementation. · Ensure that all safeguarding cases are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Contract / Operations Managers, as appropriate. · Ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times and to uphold all health and safety responsibilities within relevant policies and local protocols. · To liaise with all external registration bodies such as CQC / CCG / NHS / Local authorities to ensure each care home teams are supported by a competent guide. · To ensure each care home is well prepared for CQC and local authority inspections and able to guide and prepare post inspection plan of actions.
